His Christmas Gift to Us.

John 1:1 – 4, 14 (NKJV) 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2He was in the beginning with God.
The word of God came to us so we could hear what God wanted to say to us.  Jesus is God and spokesman raveling to us what God the father wants us to know.     3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
He created all that is, He created us, and we rejected him.
4In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 14And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
They beheld His power and yet most despised and rejected this loving being of grace and truth.

He came to weep with us and for us.

John 11:33 (KJV)  When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
Luke 19:41 (NKJV)  Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,
John 13:21 (KJV) When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

He came knowing, from before creation, that he would suffer horribly for those he loved so dear.

Matthew 26:38 - 39 (KJV) 38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.  39And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
John 12:27 (KJV) Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

Psalms 69:7 - 9 (KJV) 7  Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face. 8  I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children. 9  For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Isaiah 53:3 - 5 (NKJV) 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.  And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 50:6 (NKJV)   I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.
Matthew 26:67 - 68 (NKJV) 67Then they spat in His face and beat Him; and others struck Him with the palms of their hands,  68saying, “Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is the one who struck You?”

Mark 15:27 - 28 (KJV) 27And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.  28And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
John 19:28 - 30 (KJV) 28After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.  29Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.  30When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 19:34 (NKJV) But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

WHY DID HE COME DOWN TO US.
1 Timothy 2:5 - 6 (NKJV) 5For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,  6who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
To give Himself for us.

Hebrews 2:17 - 18 (NKJV) 17Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things  pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.  18For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)  looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

John 14: 6 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Philippians 4:7(NKJV)  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

With out Jesus there is no peace.
